Welcome to the First Step
The decision to seek therapy usually means you’ve already tried on your own to get a handle on your life. In fact, you may feel exhausted from the effort.
Maybe you know there should be more to life, but don’t know how to find it. Maybe your social anxiety is so acute you feel like you are missing out on your own life. Or maybe you are struggling with anger, sadness or guilt that you feel but don’t understand.
Whatever brings you here, welcome.
I think about my work as the process of helping people to become who they already know they are. We all have an image of our best self. This is the person we’d be if we just weren’t so tired, so anxious, so angry or so depressed. Our work together is to find out why you feel those things in the first place so you can move past them and start feeling happier, more productive and more connected to the life you want.
Finding a therapist that feels like the right fit is important. To see if we might work successfully together, I encourage you to contact me for a free 20-minute consultation. I use these brief sessions to see if it feels to you like we can work together on some of the things that are keeping you from the life you want.
I look forward to hearing from you.
